Surviving the Messiness of Motherhood

Sometimes you're just so tired + stressed + frustrated + on the verge of tears that the only thing that makes sense is laughter. This happens a lot in the messiness of motherhood.

Well, folks. It's one of those days today. We're right in the middle of the mess - literally.
Laughter through the Messiness of Motherhood
Our 10 month old slept in her crib until 5am without waking up once (it's a miracle, angels are singing!). Of course, motherhood makes you a little crazy, so I hardly slept thinking of all of the reasons why she didn't wake up for her midnight feeding. When 5am rolled around, I just scooped her up and brought her back to bed with me…

An hour later. I wake up just in time to see my baby girl vomiting all over my husband and our bed. Talk about mess! I'll spare you the details.

I'm up! No alarm clock needed this morning. And now where's the coffee?

Need a little laughter after this messy post? Check out the links that have been making me laugh at motherhood lately:
Enjoy the laughs!

  3. Quinn, girl, you go this! While I'm not a mom, I remember the dark days when my sister had three kids under the age of one. I only spent a month helping her out and was just bone tired by the end. Luckily, it was all worth it since there was nothing more magical than spending time with those three little boogers :) And those chubby cheeks--delicious! But those very young child days can be a doozy. You are amazing!

  4. Thanks, Amy. I probably vent more than I should on the blog about mommyhood, but it's so nice to have so much support on blogland. Plus, once I get my frustrations down on paper (or on the computer), I can take a deep breath and see the joy that these two little ladies bring to my life.
