A Fresh Green Smoothie

With this cold weather, I just want to stay indoors by the fire and eat carbs all day. Cold weather doesn't exactly scream salads, am I right?

To get more of the green stuff in my diet and to keep my little ones busy, I'm forcing myself to get back on the green smoothie train. My go to recipes for green smoothies can be found here.

Unfortunately, I'm not really clear on whether or not almond milk is safe for baby, so I'm avoiding it to be on the safe side. Lately, we've been making smoothies for the entire family (baby included) and this is our new go to:
Green Smoothie Recipe without Milk
Do you have any veggie rich recipes that you crave during the cold months? I'd love to add some tasty veggies to my stack of go-to recipes.

Stay warm y'all! And drink all your veggies :)

  1. YUM. I love smoothies, perhaps I will try this!!! Re: almond milk, I am clearly not a doctor but know that my nephew had a dairy allergy and has been on that since day 1 instead of whole milk so I assume that means it's ok?! Not sure if it's only in certain circumstances, though.

  2. I've read different things about giving babies almond milk before they turn one. I'm sure it's fine, but I would hate to be wrong.

It's silly because it's just over a month away, but W will get all the foods as soon as she turns one (same thing I did with Ellington). I've read that you're supposed to wait until 2 for honey now, but E had honey at 1 so it can't be that bad :)

PS. I feel like parents constantly get conflicting advice with EVERYTHING! Food, discipline, school, pacifiers, potty training, car seats. Can we just stick to one rule with everything instead of changing it up every year?
