Beach Baby

A 4 day vacation turned into 2 weeks of no blogging.  Whoops.  Didn't mean to take so much time off, but it was nice to just relax and enjoy life for a bit.
Vacation was amazing!  It was so nice to spend some quality time with two amazing soon-to-be-mommas.  And I am overwhelmed at the hospitality that one of those ladies offered up at 37 weeks pregnant... on bed rest.  Simply incredible that she welcomed our crazy family with only 3 weeks left in her pregnancy!

Ellington was excited to finally get to the beach after spending so much time in the car, but I was not sure how she would react to the sand after one little incident at the museum.  Let's just say that she was not a fan of sand.  As soon as the sun came up on Friday morning, Ellington was up and ready to explore.  Unfortunately, the rest of the household was still in bed, so we took a little drive for coffee.  Coffee turned into coffee and Krispy Kreme donughts, which were exceptionally delicious.  Ellington agreed.  By the time we returned to the beach house, people were busy getting ready for a day at the beach.  We quickly got our suits on and headed out the door.
At first, Ellington was a little unsure of the sand, but warmed up to it after playing a little closer to the water.
She even tried to eat a little sand and drink some of the sea water in her bucket.  Yuck!  Ultimately, she decided that it was not very tasty.
After seeing Amy and Louise relaxing in their beach chairs, Ellington wanted to give it a try.  This only last for a brief moment.  Enough time for me to snap a picture, but then she was off to play again.
We snuck inside for a quick bite to eat and to change E's suit, then it was back to the beach.  And after the little lady took an almost 3 hour nap on the beach with Uncle Beau, I was convinced that we needed to move this baby to the beach (just for the new nap schedule).

Can you believe that we were at this very same spot with these very same lovely couples last year?!
