Even with the rain, we had a great weekend with some old college friends. John spent Saturday morning golfing with fraternity brothers and then we loaded little E in the car for a trip to the country and a little BBQ.
After getting to see a friend's childhood home (it was gorgeous & old & something I would love to admire for hours... I have a thing for homes with history), we ventured off the beaten path to a little farm for a very yummy barbecue dinner. Ellington even got to meet her very first horse!
She wasn't sure quite what to make of it... she just kept staring. Come to find out, it was John's first encounter with a horse too. I'm not sure he knew what to make of it either.
The only thing better than the food and the amazing view of the storm rolling in was the chance to hang out with old friends, who we haven't seen in way too long! Let's plan a reunion again soon, please. :)
