An Organized April

A perfectly scheduled and organized day is somewhat of a dream of mine. I know it sounds silly to long for a day that is choreographed down to the last second, but that is just how my mind works. I usually don't get past 9 in the morning before throwing the schedule out the window and having a newborn means that I no longer have a schedule. For now, I just make lists and try to cross a few things off each day.

To get ready for a day when I can follow my own schedule again, I have made a family chalkboard calendar. A couple or layers of chalkboard paint and some carefully placed grid lines was all it took to organize this month's activities.
Those of you who have kids are probably laughing at the idea that you could ever have a set schedule with little ones around, but I am determined to at least attempt the impossible. I know that any preplanned day will not go, well, as planned when you have kids. A girl can dream though, can't she?

I would gladly take any suggestions for how to go about creating a schedule when you have children. Seriously, how do you do it?

  2. Yeah, a certain little girl still insists on waking up a 4am to eat, so early morning has become my blogging time.

Thanks for reminding me about the picture. I meant to post a pic, but it must of slip my mind this morning. :)

  3. It will get better!! You just have to roll with the punches and she wont get on a true nap schedule until around 5 months so do what you need to do for now while she naps whenever!
