Koreans Never Sleep

We went to John's Uncle's house in Seoul to eat dinner after we landed in South Korea. I was exhausted and just wanted to eat and then sleep, but John's dad wanted to show us around and go shopping at 11 o'clock at night. Which was actually 10 o'clock in the morning in Charlotte and I had only slept about 4 hours in the 29 hours that we had been traveling. Fortunately, John was able to convince his dad that going out and getting to bed at 2 in the morning, then waking up at 6 in the morning the next day to sightsee was not a good idea. I need my beauty rest!

On the way to the hotel, we passed by several groups of school children getting on buses to go home. John's cousin said that they were just getting out of class after a 13 hour school day. I would have never survived studying for 13 hours! John's cousin also gave us a mini tour of the city. The best way to describe the nightlife is a mix between New York City and Las Vegas. EVERY building had a neon sign... even the churches. Seoul is definitely a city that never sleeps!
